e started work on the project in 2014 and opened our first course, Sand Valley, in 2017. One year later we did something we've never done before, open- ing two courses (Mammoth Dunes and The Sandbox) in the same year. Talk about growing fast! Our courses have won some exciting awards but far more exciting are the conversations we've had with our guests, who want to come back with their friends, their family, or their spouse. With those conversations in mind we've hired Tom Doak to build our fourth course, one that will be markedly different from our three existing golf courses. Yes, Sand Valley is still growing! We come from a family of outdoorsmen—our grandfa- ther was an Eagle Scout and avid adventurer who led our extended family on canoe and hiking trips in the Adiron- dack mountains. He showed us the power, restorative na- ture, and fun of experiencing the outdoors, and we're happy to continue his legacy at Sand Valley. With that in mind we've developed several miles of hiking trails, fat tire biking trails, and most recently a grass tennis program (playing barefoot surrounded by sand dunes is an experi- ence you'll never forget). But we might be proudest of our family's efforts to re- store the land surrounding the resort. What started as a goal of restoring the several hundred acres surrounding our golf courses has expanded into our commitment to re- store 100,000 acres of red pine plantation, returning it to its natural habitat of jack pine sand barrens. This is an ef- fort that will play out over the coming years and we look forward to sharing our progress with you. We've put a lot of effort into this magazine and are ex- cited to show you our growing number of lodging options, our culinary and caddie program, as well as some of our best images from the last year. Thanks for reading and we look forward to seeing you in the prehistoric sand dunes of central Wisconsin for your next golf trip or outdoor adventure. Chris and miChael Keiser OUR HOME— YOUR ADVENTURE Sand Valley was founded on the dream of bringing incredible, public golf to the prehistoric sand dunes of central Wisconsin. W
